He was born April 14, 1962, in Elkhart to John and Barbara Benn.

He is survived by his ex-spouse, Julie Berkshire; two sons, Shaine and Luke Benn, both of Elkhart; one brother, David Benn of Elkhart; one nephew, Adam Benn, who grew up in his home; and his mother.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Friends may also call one hour prior to Wednesday's 11 a.m. funeral services at the funeral home. Pastor David R. Hudson, chaplain of Elkhart General Hospital, will officiate. Burial will be at Prairie Street Cemetery.

Mr. Benn was a self-employed lawn care specialist and was owner-operator of Busy Bee lawn care services in Elkhart. He was an eclectic music enthusiast and enjoyed cooking and grilling with his family. He was also known to always be with his pit bull, Bandit.
