ELKHART -- Darlene Rose Helen Law, 89, of Elkhart, passed away at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Bryant, S.D., to the late Charles D. and Mabel T. (Jefferson) Buckland. She married Maynard R. Law on Oct. 26, 1940 in South Dakota. He died in Elkhart in 1982.
Surviving are a daughter, Penny L. (Bob) St. Peters of New Haven; three sons, Stephen M., Michael B. (Lana) and John P. (Yvonne) Law, all of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several siblings.
In accordance to her wishes, Mrs. Law has been cremated and will be entombed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. A private family memorial will take place at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, which is assisting the family during this time.
She spent most of her life as a homemaker.
