ELKHART—Darleen J. "Dar" Johnson, 70, passed away at Eastlake Nursing and Rehab Center, in Elkhart, Monday, April 3, 2017, following an extended illness.
She was born in Freemont, Michigan, Dec. 29, 1946, to the late Walter and Gloria (Murphy) Hunt.
She married Russell E. "Russ" Johnson on March 24, 2001, in Elkhart.
He survives at home.
Also surviving are sons Scott McDonald of White Pigeon, Michigan, Texas "Sam" (Amy) McDonald of Phillips, Wisconsin and Kirk Johnson of Elkhart; sisters Dianna (Dale) Wiggers and Debbie (Carl) Murat; brothers David (Lisa) Hunt and Dale (Sue) and Joe (Traci) McDonald; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
In accordance with Dar's wishes, there will be no services, and Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting with cremation arrangements.
