Daren J. Rader, 69, of Elkhart, passed away after an extended illness on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at his home.

Daren was born on February 21, 1953 to the late Lorenzo "Gene" Rader and Vera Rae (Meyer) Rader in Goshen, IN. He is married to Robin (Piper) Rader on November 15, 1974 in Goshen, IN.

Daren is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Vera; brother and sisters, Kevin Rader, Kellie Platz and Star Frost.

Daren is survived by his wife of 48 years, Robin Rader of Elkhart; daughters, Keri Simpson of Von Wert, OH and Erika Fervida of Elkhart; grandchildren, Tyler (Jen), Trenton, Emily, Chandler and Jyllian; 5 great grandchildren and sister, Ladonna (Mark) Wyatt of TN.

Daren was a hardworking maintenance man and truck driver for Sun Communities. He was a member of Grace Community Church. Daren enjoyed collecting coins, camping and RC racing.

Daren was a generous person and always ready to lend a helping hand.

Per Daren's family, there will be no services and he will be cremated. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.
