Danny Taber, 75, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Briarcliff Health and Rehabilitation. He was born in Trumann, Arkansas on February 1, 1951, to the late Lloyd and Lucille (Bankstom) Taber.

In addition to Danny’s parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Annette “Ann” (Taber) Healey and Donna L. Taber. He is survived by his sister, Jean (Ernie) Geske and brother, Dave Taber.

Visitation will take place from 10 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart with service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeremy Sarber officiating. Danny will be cremated following the services. He will be laid to rest with his parents at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
