ELKHART — Danny K. "Snake" Spencer, 55, of Elkhart, passed away of an extended illness at Elkhart General Hospital on Friday (June 22, 2012) at 1:53 a.m.
He was born Dec. 4, 1956, to the late Era "Frances" (Quinn) Spencer and Delmer O. "Spencer" Spencer, who survives in Elkhart.
Also surviving are his daughter Christina A. Posey and sisters Linda L. (Robert) Hawkins and Brenda S. Waterson, all of Elkhart; and a brother, Jerry Spencer of Illinois.
In accordance to the family's wishes, Danny is to be cremated and buried next to his mother at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Danny was a carpenter and cabinetmaker for several area recreational vehicle manufacturers, including Honey RV in Elkhart. In his free time, he enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a held a bachelor's degree from Ball State University.
