Danny Ray Griffin, 73, of Elkhart, IN passed away January 1, 2023, at Elkhart Meadows.  He was born on January 25, 1949, in Jasper, Alabama to the late Leon and Evelyn (Hyche) Griffin.  He graduated from Constantine High School in 1968 and Bethel College in May 1975.  He married the late Jean M. Davidhizar on June 6, 1976.

He is survived by his three daughters, Jennifer (Mark) Spodnick of North Liberty, IN, Michele (Charles) Perry of Alvaton, KY, and Janelle (Jon) Shirley of South Bend, IN; three grandchildren, Caleb Spodnick, Gracie Shirley and Griffin Shirley; two sisters, Joyce (Gary) Price and Shirley (Dennis) Holzinger, a brother, Randy (Nancy) Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.  He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife, and two sisters, Brenda Price and Sandra Comstock.

He had a passion for reaching those who did not know his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and pastored several congregations in MI, IN and PA throughout his life with his wife by his side.  He also enjoyed working at Harding's in Middlebury, IN for several years.  He enjoyed spending time with family and cheering for Alabama and Michigan football.  For those who knew him, he was a jokester and loved making people laugh and giving people a hard time – especially his Notre Dame friends.

A visitation for Danny will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, at Billings Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart, IN 46514 with visitation 1 hour prior beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Bristol, IN.
