Daniel L. Taylor, 63, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Esther's House in Elkhart. He was born in Spencer, West Virginia on March 13, 1962, to the late Arnold Lee and Hermie Francis (Nichols) Taylor.

Daniel is also preceded in death by his wife, Kelly Abrell; brother, James "Jamie" Allen Talor; and nephew, Anthony Taylor. He is survived by  his children, Jamie Taylor, Alisha Freed, Amber Freed, Andrea "Andy" Freed, Jessica Garcia, and Bobby Rowe; former spouses, Karen Spencer and Kelly Struble; sisters, Teresa Phillips and Dreama Fields; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Phillips, Andy Phillips, Jasma Shaffer, and Joshua Fields; and great nephew, Brayden Bucher.

Cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart, IN. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Daniel was a loving father and uncle who enjoyed having fun. Many who knew him would describe him as an optimistic kid at heart who had never heard the word, "Impossible." He worked as a mechanic in the RV manufacturing industry for many years and was a skilled machinist who only ever fixed Chevy's (if you had anything other than a Chevy, you could just walk away now). Daniel rode motorcycles for many years and loved his Harley's. He had a softer side and enjoyed working in his garden; he loved tending to his roses.

Daniel's daughter, Jamie, was the apple of his eye and he enjoyed spoiling her. He did everything with her, from Karaoke, eating sweets, shopping, dancing (especially when they attended a local Daddy and daughter dance, and going to Elkhart's Grand Prix together. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Baywatch and Texas Ranger with his family. Daniel will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.
