ELKHART -- Daniel Brent Snider, 55, of Elkhart, died at 10:42 a.m. Friday (March 27, 2009) in the emergency room at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born Oct. 27, 1953, in Alton, Ill., to William L. and Lila (Smith) Snider.

Three daughters, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Richardson of Campbellville, Ky., Leslie (Gary) Forkner of Osceola and Natalie (Steven) Lynch of Vacaville, Calif., survive along with six grandchildren; two sisters, Kimberly (Ron) Fennell of LaGrange and Beth (Pat) Moran of South Bend; one brother, Steven (Lorie) Snider of Muncie; his father of Warsaw; and his former wife and mother of his daughters, Vickie Squint of Osceola.

His mother and stepmother, Julia Snider, preceded him in death.

Mr. Snider had been a manager at Wind in the Willows Art and Frame Shop. He enjoyed attending antique car shows with his family, the outdoors, kayaking with his daughter, Natalie, and flying. He had earned his pilot's license in high school.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Veterans Memorial Park on Northside Boulevard in South Bend (across from the YMCA). Pastor Ben Norton of New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene will officiate.

A luncheon at the church, 19688 Kern Road, South Bend, will follow the service. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is assisting with arrangements.
