Daniel V. Searles, III, 81, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2020, at Woodland Manor in Elkhart at 7:50 am. A native of Elkhart, he was born to the late Daniel V. and Elda Jane (Ravenscroft) Searles Sr. He later married Bonita J. Ellis on April 30, 1988. She passed away on November 9, 2009, in Elkhart.

To this blended family, survivors include children Margaret R. Searles-Brennan, Jessica J. Searles, Michael M. Searles, Emily L. Searles, David D. (Jill) Hoffman, Stephen W. Hoffman, John C. Hoffman, Timothy E. (Mary) Hoffman and Diane (Craig) Bowlby; his former wife Carolee Searles, as well as many loving grand and great-grandchildren.

In accordance with his wishes, no services have been scheduled. Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart have been assisting the family with cremation services.

Daniel worked at Oaklawn Mental Health Services as an addictions counselor for many years.
