He was born April 28, 1940, in Fort Wayne.

Friends may call from 4 to 5 p.m. today at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Cremation will follow the visitation. A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. Friday at Mr. Poppaw's home, 1823 Ashley Court. Burial will take place at a later date in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen.

Mr. Poppaw had recently retired from the ADEC Industries workshop. He enjoyed swimming and crafts and was very active in participating in ADEC events.
