Daniel A. "Danny" Kinard, 86, of Elkhart, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at his home.

Daniel was born on September 27, 1934 in Tampa, FL to the late Frank O. and Bessie (Hall) Kinard. He was married to the love of his life, Phyllis (McClane) Kinard in 2006. Danny is preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Linda and grandson, Rusty.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his children, Russel (Brenda) Kinard, Clinton (Bobbie Jo) Kinard, Dee Kinard, Curtis (Cindy) Kinard, Dana Awtry and Tina (David) Selleck; step children, Tim (Keli) Rose and Judith (Dwayne) McCloughan; sister, Cindy and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Danny honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1958-1964 and then later in the Navy Reserves. He was a member of Elkhart Church of God (That Church on the Rise) since 1988. He was an iron worker for many years. Danny was responsible for helping build Concord Mall. He also owned a service station in Georgia. Danny was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting deer.

Per his wishes, Danny will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
