BREMEN -- Dale D. Heuberger, 80, of Bremen, died Wednesday (Feb. 9, 2011) at home.

He was born July 28, 1930, in Bremen to Joseph and Mary (Beutel) Heuberger. He married Martha Wilder on Sept. 6, 1958, in Mishawaka. She survives.

Son Andrew (Theresa) Heuberger of Bremen; granddaughter Lydia (Jason) Heuberger-Turner of Mishawaka; and sisters Viola Schini of Wakarusa and Elsie Berg of Frankfort also survive. Sisters Lydia Heuberger and Emma Unsicker preceded him in death.

He was the owner of Bremen Hobbies for 50 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bremen. Pastor Roger E. Rohde will officiate. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the church. Graveside services and burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery, where military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Navy Honor Burial Detail and VFW Bremen Post 8972.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Veterans Funeral Care at Billings Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
