BRISTOL — Cynthia L. "Cindy" Shue, 59, of Bristol, passed away at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at Our Lady Of Peace Hospital in Mishawaka after an extended illness.
She was born in Elkhart on June 5, 1952, to the late Howard E. and M. Maxine (Hoon) Windmiller. In July of 1990, she married Stephen R. "Ron" Shue in Elkhart. He survives at home.
Also surviving are son Dustin E. (Amy Bainbridge) Wait of Granger, daughter Stephanie J. (Timothy) Douwsma of Goshen, sister Patricia J. (James) Krauzer and brother Marvin E. Long, both of Elkhart, and three grandsons, Cooper Douwsma, Landon Wait and Hunter Johnson.
A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 29, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart. No other services have been planned, and Cindy is to be cremated following the visitation.
Cindy was a homemaker and a member of the Elkhart Women of the Moose Lodge 73. She was an avid bowler and assisted coaching the junior leagues at Country Club Lanes in Elkhart.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Humane Society of Elkhart County
