Curt worked for Bristol Products/LaSalle Bristol for 40 years. He started his career in transportation and worked his way up to plant manager. Curt enjoyed his work and the co-workers he was surrounded by. In 2000 he retired and was able to focus on the hobbies that he loved, gardening and working on his tractors. Curt enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers, then canning and freezing the produce. He shared the fruits of his labor with family, friends and neighbors. He enjoyed a good piece of pie with ice cream, while sitting around a nice campfire. Curt was a devoted brother, husband, dad, step-dad, grandpa, and friend. He loved his family, and a granddaughter remembered him as someone who embodied "the true meaning of real and unconditional love."

In accordance with Curt's wishes, cremation has taken place with the assistance of Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart. The family will host a memorial celebration of Curt's life on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Feedlot Pavilion at Bonneyville Mill, Middlebury from 11am – 2pm.
