Obituary
ELKHART - Curtis W. Jones, 52, of Elkhart, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 following a brief battle with cirrhosis.
He was born on May 4, 1963 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Wayne C. and Pamela M. (Koepke) Jones.
He is survived by Sherri Smith of Elkhart, his significant other; his daughter Cymantha Jones, at home; grandmother Haroldene Koepke and aunts Linda Archibald and Debbie Mroczek, all of Mishawaka and neice Jesi Rupchock of Elkhart. A sister, Sheryl Huffman, precedes him in death.
In accordance with his wishes, Curtis is to be cremated and a memorial celebration of his life will be held at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 at 5:00 pm with visitation beginning at 4 pm.
Curtis worked at Dexter Axel of Elkhart prior to his illness and always enjoyed building and doing things with his hands. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and a good and loving father. He was also an honorably discharged US Army veteran.
The family thanks all those who have extended prayers, kindness and words of encouragement during this time of bereavement.
