ELKHART: Cruz Celia Islas Acosta, 76, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, morning December 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 2, 1942 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Ramon Acosta and Juana Jimenez. She married Bernardino Islas, he survives as well as their 11 children, Miguel Islas, Patricia Islas, Leticia Islas, Bernardino Islas, Maria Elena Islas, José R. Islas, Jorge Islas, Rito Islas, Monica Islas, Hilda Islas, José G. Islas; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Celia was a loving wife, mother and grand mama. She enjoyed sewing and was a fantastic cook.

Private family visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at Billings Funeral Home, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with 1 hour visitation prior, Thursday, January 3, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Rev. Matthew Coonan will officiate, and Burial will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery.
