Connie J. White, 76, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Riverside Village Nursing Home. She was born in Elkhart on July 16, 1945, to the late Joseph R. and Norma L. (Lowey) Papa.

Connie is survived by her sons, Christian J. White of Erie, PA and Jason J. White of Elkhart; daughter, Kellie A. White of Middlebury; grandchildren, Andrew M. (Bethanie) White and Logan A. White of Erie, PA, Lauren C. White of Elkhart, and Neve E. Hershberger of Middlebury, IN; and Jessica White. She is preceded in death by her parents; former spouse, William R. White; and brothers, David J. Papa and Ronald G. Papa.

In accordance with Connie's wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart.

Connie was an outgoing and creative woman who had never met a stranger. She worked in the human resources department at Ameri-Kart for over 30 years and was a strong advocate for Alcoholics Anonymous. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting gorgeous pictures of sea and ocean life. Connie's family meant the world to her, and she loved every moment she spent with them as the proud matriarch of her family. She will be missed greatly by her loving family and many friends.
