ELKHART -- Clyde Lester, 75, of Woodland Manor, died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday (July 20, 2006) in Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Oct. 3, 1930, in Bradshaw, W.Va., to Elisha and Judy (Mullins) Lester. He married Shirley L. Goodwin.
Survivors include his wife who resides in Edwardsburg, Mich.; four sons, Randy B. (Tiffany) Lester of Chicago, Glen Lester of Elkhart, Samuel C. (Cherie) Lester of Bristol and Nicholas J. Lester of Lenoir, N.C.; three daughters, Kathy L. (Lee) Heller of Edwardsburg, Mich., Beverly J. Olive of Lenoir, N.C., and Lisa M. (Ricky) Sanders of Elkton, Md.; a sister, Armenda Osborne of Bradshaw, W.Va.; a brother, Bill (Agnes) Lester of Richlands, Va.; a half-brother, William (Frances) Lester of Painesville, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
No local visitation or services will be held. A graveside service will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at Mullins Cemetery, Compton Mountain, Va. Mr. Lester's nephew, the Rev. Benny will officiate.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Lester was retired from the Elkton Sparkler Co. where he worked as a security guard. He also worked locally in the mobile home industry.
