BRISTOL — Clifton P. "Clif" Chute, 72, of Bristol, passed away Monday, Feb. 29, at Elkhart Hospice House after an extended illness.
He was born April 29, 1943, in Middletown, Conn., to Kenneth M. and Virginia R. (Sias) Chute.
Survivors include his wife, Rita B. Chute of Bristol; two daughters, Carla (Dan) Chute-Bollinger of Libertyville, Ill., and Stephanie (Kip) Chute-Whitehead of Elkhart; three grandchildren, Madeline Renee Bollinger of Libertyville and Taylor Marie Whitehead and Bradley Alan Whitehead, both of Elkhart; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip and Craig Chute.
Clif was the owner and operator of Chute's Dental Casting for 53 years.
He often enjoyed spending time on woodworking projects at his home.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bristol United Methodist Church in memory of Clif.
