Clifford Wynos, 64, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, at home.
He was born May 22, 1950, in Keshena, Wis., to the late Wesley and Bernice M. (Soman) Wynos-Doublehead.
He was a proud member of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin.
On Dec. 29, 1967, he married his wife of 47 years, Glenda C. (Welch) Wynos of Elkhart.
Survivors include his children, Clifford Wayne Wynos, Aleshia (Anson) Bunch of Elkhart and Michelle (D.J.) Smith; siblings Jackie Wynos of Elkhart, Jerry (Mary) Wynos and Charlie (Billie Kay), Terry, Denton Joe and Leroy Doublehead; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons; one brother; one stepsister; and his stepfather.
Clifford proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a mechanic and welder for several years.
A gathering of family and friends will be two hours prior to the 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, celebration of life service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. A graveside service will be at Marion National Cemetery at a later date.
