Feb. 14, 1933 - June 21, 2009

GOSHEN -- Clifford A. "Cliff" Poe, 76, of Goshen, died at 5 a.m. Sunday (June 21, 2009) in his home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Breedsville, Mich., to John and Edith (Walker) Poe. On July 25, 1957, he married Shirley K. Miller in Elkhart.

She survives along with four sons, Carl (Bev) Poe of Milford, John Poe of Camas, Wash., Mike Weldy of Elkhart and Joe (Lara) Miller of Warsaw; two daughters, Loueva (Robert) Hammrich of Camas and Debbie (Bob) Ryman of Bristol; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

One brother, Ralph Poe, preceded him in death.

Mr. Poe worked in production and sales in the RV industry for many years. Along with his wife, he transported RVs for more than 15 years and was able to see much of the country and Canada.

He enjoyed mushrooming, woodworking, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Thursday funeral services at the funeral home. Chaplain Jane Miller of Care at Home Hospice and Maj. Jason Pollom of the Goshen Salvation Army will officiate. Cremation will follow the service, with burial at a later date in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Goshen.
