ALPENA, Mich. — Clareen J. "Sis" Colclesser, 91, of Alpena and formerly of Elkhart, Ind., passed away from natural causes Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Tendercare of Alpena.
She was born in Rugby, N.D., on Feb. 16, 1923, to the late Roscoe and Margaret (Clark) Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Colclesser; two infant daughters; nine brothers; and five sisters.
She is survived by her children, Patty (Ed) Harden of Black River, Mich., and Jack (Penny) Colclesser of Rockledge, Fla.; sisters Sue (Lofton) Harmon of Nappanee and Coleen (Paul) Alwine of White Pigeon; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will take place Sunday, Oct. 19, at Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3601 E. Bristol St., Elkhart, with visitation beginning an hour prior to the noon funeral. Retired Pastor Don Inglish will officiate. Private burial services will be at a later date.
Arrangements have been placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.
Sis was an LPN who enjoyed writing, singing and cooking. Her greatest loves, however, included her family, her church and her Lord.
