Clara Mae Butler, 92, of Elkhart, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born May 15, 1933, in Summitville, TN to Raymond L. and Jessie P. (Burks) Stacy. Clara married Arthur D. Butler on August 6, 1963. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Coy Ray Stacy and Charles Terry Stacy.

Clara is survived by her children, Deborah Elaine Stacy, Raymond Stacy (Lisa) Butler, and Jessica Caroline Butler; grandchildren, David Butler, Christopher Shirley, Dalton (Katelyn) Shirley, and Nicole Butler; and her great grandchildren, Michael Arthur Orange, Hunter Lee Edward Shirley, Melina Marie Shirley, and Isabella Ann Shirley.

A private family graveside service will take place at a later date where she will be laid to rest with her husband Arthur Butler. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart are assisting the family with arrangements.

She started her career at Jean & Jones, eventually owning her own beauty salon, Chez Clarice. Clara gave all that up to be a stay-at-home mom. Family was her priority.
