Obituary

Christopher Dillon Chadwick, 24, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 21. 2025, at South Bend Memorial Hospital. He was born in Elkhart on September 4, 2000, to Christopher P. and Pamela (Siple) Chadwick.

In addition to his parents, Dillon is also survived by his older brother, Kyle Chadwick; girlfriend, Makayla Trout; and the love of his life, Kait Ankeney. The family would like to give a special thank you to Renee and Sam for being there for Dillon providing him comfort after the accident.

Cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart, IN. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Dillon was an old soul who liked to keep his life simple and followed the beat of his own drum. He worked at C&B Custom Modular with his mom, dad and brother. Throughout his early years, he learned to play the violin in Elementary School, in which he became a very talented violinist and helped him establish a great appreciation for music. Dillon enjoyed a variety of water sports from Barefoot Water Skiing, Wakeboarding, Slalom skiing and competitive swimming.

Although he kept mostly to himself, his family and girlfriend were who he preferred spending most of his time around. Almost every year, Dillon, Kyle, and Dad would go on a "guy's trip" to Boyne Highlands to go snowboarding. They would spend hours there together. Dillon's family meant the most to him and he will be dearly and sorely missed by them all.
