ELKHART -- Christina Leann Carles, 24, of Cole Street, died at 3:08 a.m. Dec. 20, 2008, in The Hospice House of Elkhart after an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 23, 1984, in Largo, Fla., to Helen L. Carles.

Her mother survives in Elkhart along with three brothers, Johnathon D. Carles and Jason M. and Charles R. Koewers, all of Elkhart; two sisters, Darla J. Koewers of Elkhart and Theresa L. Necessary of Woodbridge, Va.; and her grandmother, Wilma D. Carles of Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Paul Carles.

Miss Carles enjoyed painting, drawing, was an avid country music fan and often sang karaoke with her mother. Her favorite singer was Dolly Parton. She liked the Indianapolis Colts and rooted for Peyton Manning.

Friends may call one hour prior to Monday's 1 p.m. funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Jason E. Kincaid of First Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will follow in Frame Cemetery.
