ELKHART — Cheronia Michelle Trotter, 49, of Elkhart, was discovered passed away at her home Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

She had been in ill health.

She was born Oct. 15, 1967, in Elkhart, and is survived by her mother, Gloria B. (Trotter) Dancler of Elkhart.

Also surviving are sons Mario, Cleophus and Lovell Trotter, all of Elkhart; brother Cody Trotter of Fort Wayne; sister Caturia Trotter of Elkhart; and grandchildren Braxton and No'Elle Trotter.

Stepfather Elbert Dancler preceded her in death.

Cheronia was a domestic caretaker who enjoyed helping and looking after others.

Gentle and sweet, she enjoyed her friends and family and living life to the fullest.

She loved listening to music, watching movies and photography.

Cheronia's homegoing celebration will be at noon  Saturday, April 15, at the AGAPE Missionary Baptist Church, 248 W. Wolf Ave., Elkhart, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m.

The Rev. Dr. Dannell Brown will officiate and burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with the arrangements.
