Obituary

Chuck W. McGlocklin, 83, of Elkhart, passed away courageously on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Elkhart General Hospital.

Chuck was born on December 10, 1939 in Athens, AL to the late Edward McGlocklin and Hattie (Perry) Downs. He is preceded in death by a brother, Marshall.

Chuck is survived by his life partner of 46 years, Peggy Roberts of Elkhart; son, Jerry (Dave) McGlocklin of South Bend; daughter, Tammy (Keith) Null of Elkhart; grand daughter, Kayla Roberts of Elkhart and others; great granddaughter, Abigail Roberts of Elkhart and others; sister, Dolly (Jim) Mayger of Bristol; and the children that he helped raise, Anita (Ron) Myers of Elkhart and Kellie (Andy) Willis of Arizona.

Chuck was a supervisor in the mobile homes and R.V. industry including Parkwood, Hornet and Hy-line retiring in 2010.

In his younger days, he enjoyed trap and skeet shooting earning him several trophies. He had a love for corvettes.

Chuck was "old school" and he could be relied on to fix anything! One of his favorite past times was to keep his yard in immaculate condition! Chuck also enjoyed watching golf on tv.

He loved and protected his family fiercely and spending time with family was his most cherished time.

In the immortal words of Chuck, "Let's see what happens".

A Private Celebration of Chuck's Life will be held at a later date. Per his wishes, Chuck will be cremated.

Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.
