Mr. Charles E. Greer, 81, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully following an extended illness at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart on Wednesday, Apr. 26, 2017.

He was born in Milan, TN on Apr. 18, 1936 to the late Charlie and Ula Mae (Jordan) Greer.

Surviving are his sons Jeff (Kathy) and Lowell (Kathy) Greer; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, a brother, a sister-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Family member and caregiver Cathy L. Greer survives as well.

Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, 933 Fieldhouse, Elkhart and Billings Funeral Home will host Charles' life celebration on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 12:00 noon, with viewing beginning there at 11 am. Pastor McNeal Stewart will officiate and Military Honors will be rendered at the church.

Charles was a deacon and member of the T. Hadley Inspirational Choir at Canaan, and was a US Army veteran.

Memorial donations may be given to the church.
