ELKHART — Charlene M. "Minnie" Kildow, 72, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born in Elkhart on April 21, 1942, to the late Olin and Katherine (Bixler) Breden.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Denise (David) Bevins of Avon, Ohio, Allen (Angel) Kildow of North Liberty and DeAnna (Todd) Farrand and Steven Kildow, both of Elkhart; brothers Charles (Lois) Breden of Eau Claire, Mich., Robert (Barbara) Breden of Rialto, Calif., and Richard (Sandy) Breden of Elkhart; sister Mariam Imus of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In accordance with the family's wishes, Minnie will be cremated. A memorial celebration of her life will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.
Minnie worked as a seamstress for many years. She enjoyed Minnie Mouse and collecting Pepsi products. She was an avid ping-pong player and liked to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
