ELKHART -- Chance Janelius Spears-Singleton, 6-month-old son of Jeanette Spears and Neil E. Singleton IV of Elkhart, died at 5:51 a.m. Thursday (Nov. 26, 2009) in his home from SIDS.
Chance's parents survive with two brothers, Joseph Phillips and Neil E. Singleton V, both at home; two sisters, Miracle and Patience Spears, both at home; grandparents Neil E. (Charlett) Singleton III of Michigan City and Robert Spears of Elkhart; and godparents Sarah Doss, Kristine "Candy" Bassant and Ken Young.
One grandmother, Barbara Spears, preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Frame Cemetery on C.R. 113 South. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is assisting with arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the Chance J. Spears-Singleton Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
