Cecilia Ornduff, 90, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday evening, October 18, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 5, 1930 in Ft. Lupton, Colorado to the late Jose and Rosa (Tarin) Avina.

Cecilia married her true love Charles R. "Chuck" Ornduff Sr. on Valentine's Day 1953 in Greely, Colorado. Chuck died October 21, 2017 after 64 years of marriage.

Surviving are her children; Charles R. (Nancy) Ornduff Jr., Dannette (Jeff) Eberhard and Dr. Sidney Ornduff (fiancé' Dr. Robert M. Kelsey); as well as four grandchildren whom she adored, Jason (Delaney) Eberhard, Brent Eberhard, Piper Ornduff and Gage Ornduff;  her brother Ralph (Ramona) Avina; Surviving as well is a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Carol Ann Ornduff, brother David Avina, 2 infant brothers Alfred and Cruz Avina; and 5 sisters, Toni LaCroix, Margaret Gilbreath, Dorothy Jackson, Marie Glasser and Delores Killin.

Cecilia graduated from Colorado State College, in Northern Colorado. She was a school teacher at Midwest High School in Midwest Wyoming and also taught Spanish at St. Thomas School for 3 years. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Cecilia was an avid reader and master seamstress, who enjoyed needlework, sewing and quilting; she also loved to work in her garden.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart, where a parish rosary will be prayed beginning at 4:45 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2020 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Burial will follow at St. Vincent Cemetery.
