ELKHART: Catalina Zelaya, 59, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Kindred Hospital NW in Hammond.

Catalina was born on January 12, 1961 in Apan, Hidalgo, Mexico to Tomas Campos Pérez and Maria Téllez Ortego. She married Julio C. Zelaya on November 3, 1995, Julio survives, as well as 3 sons, David A. Zelaya, Julio C. Zelaya, Abdiel Zelaya, and 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Esther Campos Téllez, David Campos Téllez, Norberto Campos Téllez and Miriam Campos Téllez.

Catalina was preceded in death by her mother and father and a sister Graciela Campos Téllez.

Catalina was a loving wife, mother, sister and homemaker. She loved her church and was a woman of great faith. She liked listening to Latino Christian Music and making jewelry. Most of all, she loved her family and was a very caring person, who would help anyone in need anytime.

Graveside services for Catalina, will be held beginning at 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Prairie Street Cemetery. Pastors Alfonzo Aguilar and Roberto Ochoa will officiate.
