Obituary

Carolyn S. Kauble, 76, of Elkhart, formerly of Kokomo, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at her residence. She was born December 1, 1944 in Kokomo to the late Ilderem "Abe" Lindley and Onda (Hite) Lindley.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Thomas (Lisa) Kauble and Laura (Al) Cauthen; grandchildren, Ashley (Jeremy Bontrager) Kauble, Kristin (Justin) Garner, Katherine (Tony) Ekovich, Collier Glon, Retta (Paul Laughead) Cauthen, and Samantha Cauthen; great grandchildren, Braden Kauble, Colton Kauble, Jeremy Bontrager Jr., Mary Bontrager, Emerson Garner, Beckett Garner, Porter Ekovich, Pryor Ekovich, Rylan Cauthen, Noah Cauthen, Faith Cauthen, Sophia Laughead, and Isaac Chavis; and sisters, Sharon (George) Moser and Bonnie Shanholt. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Phillip L. Kauble; parents; mother, Irene DuFour; brother, Larry Johnson; brother-in-law, David Shanholt; nephew, Terry Moser; and niece, Pat Moser.

A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Radiant Life Church, 54820 Co Rd 1, Elkhart. A private family service will follow visitation with Pastor John Utley and Rev. Marianne Ell to officiate. Please visit Radiant Life Church's Facebook page to livestream the service. For church services, please follow proper social distancing procedures and wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, donations may go to Radiant Life Church, PO Box 840 Granger, IN 46530 designated for the Phillip L. Kauble Nursing Scholarship at Indiana University in Kokomo or to Radiant Life Church Food Pantry. Billings Funeral Home is in care of arrangements.

An entombment will take place at Sunset Memory Garden in Kokomo, IN where she will be laid to rest with her husband at a later date.

Carolyn was a caring and independent woman who put her faith in the Lord and loved her family above anything else in her life. She was a member at Trinity on Jackson Church and was active at Radiant Life Church where she enjoyed being involved and volunteering for many church activities.  In her spare time, she loved gardening, enjoying the lake and being outdoors. She was an outspoken environmental activist in Kokomo. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, making crafts, listening to music, and loved to walk and line dance with her friends. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
