Carolyn D. Bowers, 86, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2021. She was born on December 14, 1934 in Elizabethton, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Roy and Ruth (Jones) Howser. Carolyn enjoyed reading and studying various subjects. She retired from Voyager and loved going to garage sales. She will be remembered for her southern accent, her love of family and animals, especially her dogs and cats. She was outgoing and had a comically mischievous personality and was loved by all.

Carolyn is survived by her only son, Tony Bowers and Kathy, 4 grandchildren, Paige, Lindy, Amanda and Brock, and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Bowers, they will be joined now forever together in the afterlife. Per her wishes, cremation was chosen under the care of Billings Funeral Home. Memorials may be given Heartland Hospice or Elkhart County Humane Society.
