ELKHART — Carol Ann Miller, 58, of Elkhart, passed away in her home with her family at her side following an extended illness at 7:35 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013.
She was born in Elkhart on Sept. 29, 1954, to the late Robert E. Sr. and Eris E. (Babcock) Guy. On Feb. 10, 1971, she married Dennis R. Miller in Elkhart. He survives at home.
Also surviving are her children, Christopher M. "Chris" (Kimberly) Miller, Justin R. Miller and Teresa L. (Eric) Reeves, all of Elkhart; a brother, Robert E. Guy II of Elkhart; a sister, Pamela K. "Pam" (John) Harrington of Longville, La.; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carol's life will take place at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will then take place.
Carol spent most of her later years as a homemaker who enjoyed simple pleasures like spending time with her children and grandchildren, taking long walks on the beach, studying her Bible and playing "Farmville" on her computer.
Along with her family, Carol leaves behind her favorite calico cat, Phoebe, to cherish her memory.
