Carol Ann Moyer, age 68, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away peacefully in the comfort and familiarity of her own home on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 3:37 p.m. after a period of declining health. Her transition was quiet and serene, just as she lived much of her life—surrounded by love, strength, and grace.

Carol was born on July 24, 1956, in Elkhart to the late George and Joan (Denton) Chapman, and she remained a proud lifelong resident of her beloved hometown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Roger Chapman, her twin sister Cathy Chapman, and her husband, Terry Moyer, whom she missed dearly.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Christopher Weise (Jess Davis) of Elkhart, Michael Moyer of Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Erica Warner of Grabill, Indiana. Carol was deeply proud of her children and the unique paths they each chose in life. She offered them constant encouragement, a listening ear, and unwavering love.

Carol also leaves behind her brother Todd Chapman of Bangkok, Thailand, and six treasured grandchildren who were a source of joy, laughter, and purpose in her later years. She embraced her role as "Grandma" with great affection.

A longtime and dedicated employee, Carol worked at Patrick Industries for nearly 30 years. Her coworkers became a second family to her, and she took great pride in her work and the relationships she built over the decades. Prior to that, she was employed at Walerko Tool and Engineering, where she developed skills and friendships that carried through the years.

Outside of work, Carol found joy and community in the many activities she participated in. She was a passionate and skilled bowler and pool player, competing in leagues throughout the Michiana area and making lifelong friends along the way. She relished the spirit of competition and camaraderie found in tournaments and always brought laughter and lightheartedness to the game.

Together with her late husband Terry, Carol also served as an official for the National Bicycle Association, where they oversaw bicycle races and occasionally took part themselves. It was just one of the many adventures they shared, contributing to their community in meaningful ways.

Carol was a proud member of the Women of the Moose Lodge 599 in Elkhart, where she found fellowship and a sense of belonging. She had a kind and gentle soul, a sharp wit, and a ready smile. She enjoyed simple pleasures—sunshine on her face, a good conversation, and the soothing voice of James Taylor, whose music often filled her home.

Above all else, Carol was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep loyalty, and enduring kindness. Her legacy is one of perseverance, compassion, and love that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A memorial homegoing service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elkhart. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jeremy Sarber will officiate the service. In keeping with Carol's wishes, cremation has already taken place.

Though her physical presence will be missed deeply, Carol Ann Moyer's spirit will remain a guiding light to those who knew and loved her. May her memory be a blessing and her soul rest in peace.
