GRANGER — Carol Ann "Carrie" Murray, 75, of Granger, passed away peacefully at her home of natural causes at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18.
She was born Aug. 17, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late Joseph R. and Margaret (Treiber) Pint and then married Ted F. Murray, who survives her at home.
Also surviving are her daughters, Monique (Mark) Farrington of Cheshire, Conn. and Gayle Murray of Monroe, Mich. and grandsons Joseph, Michael and Richard, as well as great-grandson Wyatt.
A son, Guy, and her brother, Robert J. Pint preceded Carrie in death.
Carrie's life will be celebrated with a visitation at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, followed by graveside service at the veteran's section of Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25. Military honors will be rendered by the USAF Funeral Honor Guard and Elkhart DAV No. 19.
Carrie graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in registered nursing, and worked as an RN most of her life.
She was an absolutely devout Christmas enthusiast, and loved to decorate for the holiday.
In fact, Carrie will be best remembered for always going out of her way to make the Christmas season special and magical for her family.
She also served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and was an avid animal lover.
