WINCHESTER — Carlton B. Kent Sr., 84, of Winchester, passed away of natural causes Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Reid Health Hospital in Richmond.

He was born Aug. 5, 1932, in Marnette, Ohio, to the late Harvey and Iva (Perry) Kent.

He is survived by his siblings Ruth (Charles) Estes, Donna Swathwood and Ronnie (Esther) Kent, all of Elkhart, and Chas "Chuck" (Susie) Kent of Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Peggy (Cales) Kent, five brothers and three sisters.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation is to take place and Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is assisting with those arrangements.

Carlton was an 18-plus-year career soldier with the U. S. Army during Korea.
