ELKHART — Carlene F. Miller, 74, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, May 22, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Aug. 31, 1939, in South Bend to Carl and Ruth (Hittle) Krathwohl.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Albert G. Miller of Elkhart; daughter Arvilla (Fred) Bogucki of Osceola; son Charles Miller of South Bend; three stepdaughters, Shirley (Milo) Bowen of Etowah, Tenn., Pauletta Miller of Milford and Donna Bachota of Elkhart; two stepsons, Glen Miller of Mottville, Mich., and John (Judy) Miller of Bloomfield, Mo.; sister Virginia Vaughn of Murray, Ky.; brother Carl Krathwohl of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Earl Wallace Proffitt.
Carlene was a longtime member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Goshen, and she loved to sing and play piano there, which she did for more than 40 years. She also played piano and sang at nursing homes for several years.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, May 28, both at Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Goshen, 63983 C.R. 15, Goshen.
Pastor Michael Curton will officiate. Interment will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
