BRISTOL — Carl A. McDaniel, 68, of Bristol, passed away of a sudden illness at 11:11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Oct. 21, 1944, in Elkhart to the late Homer and Madeline (Escalente) McDaniel and married RoseMary Sherwin in 1962, who survives at home.
Also surviving is a son, Devin McDaniel, who resides in Eau Claire, Mich.
In accordance with the family's wishes, no services have been planned and Carl's body is to be cremated. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol at a later date.
Arrangements have been placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home and Altera Cremation Services, both of Elkhart.
Carl spent most of his life as a self-employed tool and die maker.
