Obituary

Mrs. Cameron Kay (Dunnuck) Mullet, 76, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at her home. She was born on November 17, 1947, in Elkhart, to the late James I. and Beverly (Marshall) Dunnuck. On June 16, 1984, in Nappanee, Cameron married the love of her life, Steven S. Mullet.

Cameron is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Steven S. Mullet of Elkhart; son, Eric (Patty) Tubbs of Frankfort, IL; grandchildren, Tyler and Josh Tubbs, both of Frankfort, IL; many great-grandchildren; brother, James P. Dunnuck of AZ; sister, Jodee (Matt) Moseng of Elkhart; brothers-in-law, Dave Lewis of Ennis, TX, Omer S. (Clara) Mullet of Etna Green, Allen S. Mullet of Plymouth, Merlin S. (MaryLou) Mullet of Etna Green, and Paul S. (Rosemary) Mullet of Leesburg; sisters-in-law, Ferne, Carol, and Rosemary Mullet, all of Bremen, and Sue Ellen (John Earl) Yoder of Nappanee; beloved Scottie dog, Saucie; 30 nieces and nephews; and a loving host of extended family, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to her parents, Cameron was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Lewis.

Services for Cameron will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Billings Funeral Home with visitation from 11 AM to 12 PM and a funeral service beginning at 12 PM. Pastor Jeremy Sarber of Billings Funeral Home will be officiating. Burial and graveside services will immediately follow at Olive West Cemetery.

Cameron graduated high school in 1965 and went on to receive her bachelor's in nursing, starting at Bethel College and graduating from Goshen College in 1972. She continued her career at Elkhart General Hospital as a Registered Nurse from 1972 to 1978. She also worked for NCR as a computer technician for about three and a half years following her nursing career. In 1991, Cameron alongside her husband, Steve, delivered local papers such as the Elkhart Truth, The Paper, and The Penny Saver, to various homes and stores until 2015.

In her spare time, Cameron enjoyed creating latch hook rugs, cooking various recipes, listening to music, and singing karaoke. She was also known for her impressions, being able to imitate almost anyone she came across or saw on the big screen. Cameron was able to bring a smile to anyone's face with her voice and comedy, leaving many lasting memories for those around her to enjoy.

Cameron, along with all the love and joy she shared, will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched throughout her life.
