ELKHART -- Calvin Francis Large Sr., 69, of Elkhart, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Friday (May 21, 2010) at Elkhart General Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Sturgis, Mich., to Robert and Arvis (Parnin) Large. He married Kay Ann Dreibelbis in Elkhart in 1972.

She survives along with two daughters, Kathy (Timothy) Reuwer of Enterprise, Fla. and Heather (Richard Jr.) Wolf of Pembroke, Ga.; two sons, Mark (Theresa) Large of Deltona, Fla., and Calvin (Trish) Large Jr. of Elkhart; two brothers, Robert (Carol) Large of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Steven Matthews of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one sister, Linda (Al) Wermager of Crosby, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Cal's parents, a son, Michael and a brother, Bruce, all preceded him in death.

Calvin was employed at the Dometic Corporation of Elkhart for over 30 years.

A celebration of Cal's life will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Cal has been cremated.
