BRISTOL — Bud Ulrich Bailey, 75, of Bristol, died at 8:36 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born May 27, 1937, in Elkhart to the late Ralph and Anna (Pugh) Bailey.

He married Karen K. Reed in 1959 and had three children, Mary (Steve) Quaid, Michael Bailey and Janie (Keith) Ostermann.

He later married Jackie Middaugh on July 2, 1998. She had two children from a previous marriage, Amy Arnett and Shannon Middaugh.

He is survived by his siblings, Phyllis (Ron) Metzger, Bob (Roxy) Bailey and Ronnie (Michelle) Bailey; grandchildren Amber, Steven, Patrick, Marcus, David and Bailey; stepgrandson Danny; and great-grandchildren Makynleigh and Erik.

A stepgranddaughter, Amanda, preceded him in death.

Friends may call for one hour prior to the 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, celebration of life service at Billings Funeral Home. He will be cremated.

Bud served in the U.S. National Guard in the 1950s before working at several area businesses including Merhow Industries and Commadore Homes, retiring in 1999.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
