ELKHART — Bruce R. Wilson, 78, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018.

He was born Jan. 30, 1940, to the late Bruce and Pearl (Alexander) Wilson and married Theresa D. (Eternicka) Loka on Sept. 5, 1969.

Surviving are his spouse, Theresa, four children, three sisters, a brother and a stepson, Michael Loca; as well as many nieces, nephews and a number of natural and stepgrand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren.

A stepdaughter, Sherry Wilson, preceded him in death.

In accordance with Bruce's wishes, no immediate services have been planned and cremation arrangements have been made with Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.

Bruce was a self-employed overhead door specialist his entire adult life, retiring in the mid-2000s due to health issues.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Westerns and country music.

Memorials can be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
