Obituary
ELKHART — Brookie T. Wilmore, 75, of Elkhart, passed away following an automobile accident Friday, April 22, in Elkhart.
She was born Dec. 9, 1940, in Midkiff, W.Va., to Beauford and Polly Ann (Queen) Harbor.
Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Robert H. Wilmore Jr. of Elkhart; three sons, David McCoy of Elkhart, Robert (Beth) Wilmore of Goshen and Brian Wilmore of Marcellus, Mich; two daughters, Melissa "Jawain" (Jay) Ball of Elkhart and Laurie (Delbert) Ritchie of Elkhart; one brother, James Harbor of Athens, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Harbor.
Brookie was previously employed at Accra Pac for 25 years prior to her retirement.
She was a member of the Elkhart Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 599 and a member of Whosoever Will Worship Church in Elkhart.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the 1 p.m. Thursday, April 28, funeral service at the Word of Life Fellowship Church, 27696 Willard Road, Elkhart. Pastor Delbert Ritchie will officiate. Interment will follow in Olive East Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Word of Life Fellowship in memory of Brookie.
