ELKHART - Brigitte C. (Skelton) Tucek, 77, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart, surrounded by her loving family. Brigitte was born on December 18, 1939 in Leipzig, East Germany. She married Robert A. Tucek on May 4, 1979 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Surviving is her husband of 38 years, Bob A. Tucek; Her children, Ron (Pam) Skelton, Jenny (Dave) Charlton, Christine (Mike) Baldwin, Dena (Jeff) Wider and a step-daughter Kellie Yunginger; 17 grandchildren, Dalton (Jeanette) Kruger, Hayden (Kyra) Kruger, Bryant Miller, Michele (Matt) Mulcahey, Tim Wider, Ryan Wider, Danielle Sanchez, Amanda (Eric) Wedge, Ronnie (Sara) Fizer, Brandi Keeran, Joey (Tobi) Skelton, Ryan Skelton, Angelina Charlton,  Jennifer Yunginger and Merry Greene. She was preceded in death by her mother Charlotte Poole. Brigitte worked as a loan processor with her daughter Christine at Hometown Mortgage. She formerly worked at American Furniture, Heilig-Meyers Furniture Store and the Inside Outlet, with many awards as a top salesperson. She retired from Lowes. Brigitte was an avid tennis player and member of the Elkhart Racquet Club, where she also played racquetball. She was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church and the Elkhart Luncheon Optimist Club. She was a very kind person and always ready to help anyone in need. She loved to spend time with her family, especially on family poker night. Services celebrating Brigitte's life will begin at Noon (12 o'clock) on Saturday, June 17, with visitation 1 hour prior at the Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Rev. Robert VanKempen will officiate. Per her wishes, cremation was chosen.
