ELKHART — Brian V. "Bud" Ward, 51, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at his home after a sudden illness.

A native of Elkhart, Brian was born Jan. 10, 1967, to the late Harry L. and Donna (Cox) Ward.

He is survived by his five siblings, Susan Methany, Diane (Berla Bowlby) Ward, Karyn (Danial) Shine, Weston Ward and Anne (Fred) Craft and seven nieces and nephews.

Brian loved his country very much.

He attended Elkhart Memorial High School and enjoyed building and riding motorcycles.

He also enjoyed collecting police memorabilia and flying on his computer-based flight simulator.

Friends and family are invited from 3 - 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Billings Funeral Home, to share memories and stories of Brian.

A memorial service will follow at 5 p.m.

The Rev. Matthew Coonan will officiate.

Per his wishes, cremation was chosen.

Memorials are requested to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
