On October 8, 2023, Brenda Kay Reese, 65, of Bristol, took the hand of Jesus as he escorted her to heaven following a brief battle with Cancer.

Brenda passed away along with her parents, Merle Reese and Betty Lou Reese and her sister, Nancy Reese.

Brenda was born in South Bend, IN on September 24, 1958 to the late, Merle and Betty Lou (Pettit) Reese.

Brenda left behind a deeply saddened family; children, Evelyn (Jeff) Acopan, Scott Thompson and Tara (Jamie) Pergrem; 6 grandchildren; and brother, Danny Dull.

Brenda was a 1977 graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School. She graduated with a MA degree from Brown Mackie College in 2012.

She was employed at JC Penney for 15 years and recently at Meijer Goshen for the last 8 years.

Brenda was a member of Bethel Assembly of God for over 30 years.

Brenda loved spending time with her family, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren.

Her greatest accomplishments were her kids, graduating college and seeing the band, Journey in concert.

Brenda has touched so many lives during her lifetime and she will be missed tremendously.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514.

A Funeral Service for Brenda will be at 11:00am, Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Bethel Assembly of God, 600 E. Bristol St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Pastor David Lade officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the start of the service from 10:00am to 11:00am at the church.

A graveside service will follow the funeral service at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart. Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be directed to Cancer Services for Elkhart County, 23971 U.S. Hwy 33, Elkhart, IN 46517.
