Breckan G. Van Zyl, 4-week-old son of Amber and Chris Van Zyl of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Riley's Children Hospital in Indianapolis. Breckan was born on December 18, 2018 in Indianapolis.

He is survived by his parents and his brother Keagan Van Zyl. Also surviving are his grandparents; Bob & Patty Butler, Johnny & Cathy Harbison, and Ina & Andre Visagie, gt. grandfathers; Bob Butler and Gerald Bergerson, aunts; Danielle Butler and Mackenzie Albright, uncles; Randy Ellsworth and Andre Visagie, and first cousin; Daeton Ellsworth, along with many other great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his gt. grandmothers; Lillian Butler, Linda Bergerson, and Annie Curry and grandfather; Johan Van Zyl.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart as well as an hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. service that will take place on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery in the Baby Land section of the cemetery. Donations in Breckan's memory may be made to the Riley Children's Foundation, 30 S. Meridian St. Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204-3509.

His family will forever treasure the small and blessed moments they shared with him, from holding his hand, sharing bath time together, listening to lullaby's, to catching a glimpse of his beautiful smile. Breckan will be dearly missed by his loving family.
